Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
PayStarSea ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website, merchant dashboard, APIs, WordPress plugin, and payment processing services (the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
- Merchant account data: name, email, company details, and authentication logs when you register or log in to the merchant dashboard.
- Payment and order data: order amounts, currencies, coin/network selection, store order references, payment addresses, transaction hashes, settlement status, and webhook payloads transmitted through our APIs or plugins.
- Technical data: IP addresses, API request metadata, error logs, and device/browser information for security and troubleshooting.
- Website usage: basic analytics on paystarsea.com (pages visited, referrer) where applicable.
2. How We Use Information
- Process cryptocurrency payments and deliver settlement services to merchants.
- Verify API and webhook requests, prevent fraud, and meet compliance obligations.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services and customer support.
- Communicate service updates, security alerts, and account-related notices.
3. WordPress Plugin Data Flow
When a merchant installs the PayStarSea WooCommerce plugin, the plugin sends order and payment configuration data from the merchant's WordPress site to PayStarSea payment processing servers. Webhook callbacks from PayStarSea to the merchant site include payment status updates. API keys and secrets are stored in the merchant's WordPress database and are not exposed to buyers.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal data. We may share information with infrastructure providers, blockchain network participants (on-chain transactions are public), compliance partners, or authorities when required by law or to protect the Services.
5. Data Retention
We retain merchant and transaction records as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce our Terms of Service.
6. Security
We use encryption, access controls, and monitoring to protect sensitive credentials and payment data. Merchants are responsible for securing their API keys, webhook secrets, and WordPress admin access.
7. International Transfers
Data may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. We apply appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
